Everything changes when Tim accidentally knocks down Uloomji in a car accident. Uloomji is a Kalmyk, a semi-nomadic man of Mongolian descent. The two men are immediately drawn together and begin a torrid affair that involves a lot of howling and knocking over furniture! Tim is drawn to Uloomji’s exotic demeanour and lack on inhibition. Uloomji is attracted to Tim’s lifestyle that he’d only ever seen in magazines until they met.

Vera struggles to understand the bond between the two men and her boyfriend’s increasingly erratic behaviour. It isn’t long before she is drawn into the bizarre love-triangle as their lives unravel, exemplified by their trip to a Buddhist healer, a three-way in the toilet of a gay bar, a faked death and a kidnapping!
