Sadomania

Thriller från 1981 av Jess Franco med Ursula Buchfellner och Ajita Wilson. One of director Jess Franco’s several entries (along with “Barbed Wire Dolls” and “Love Camp” to name just two) in the “caged women” genre, SADOMANIA is, perhaps, one of the most controversial and notorious films ever made by the master of superlative art-house sexploitation cinema.

Taking his inspiration from his favourite graphically explicit Italian adult comic books, Franco pulls out all the stops for a shocking tale of a newly wed young woman, Tara (played by beautiful Playboy centrefold Ursula Fellner), who is thrust into the living hell of a brutal women’s prison camp run by the sadistic Magda Urtado (the stunning transsexual porn star Ajita Wilson). Lesbian lust, extreme violence, sexual depravity and bestial perversion (including a shocking rape committed by a dog!) are the order of the day for Franco’s jaw-dropping erotic thriller that in 1994 was banned by the BBFC.

Presented in its original theatrical aspect ration (1.66:1), the film comes complete with an all-new featurette including an exclusive, no-holds barred interview with the director.
